1 April Ayaka's diary

School computers are back up, but it where not the teachers or the tech-guys who did it, the hackers did, all teaching software is either corrupted or filled with slogans against the current educational system, the bad news is that the tech-guys managed to fix the punishment systems, everyone got strapped into a chair and got tickled as a punishment for the hacking, it's not even sure if it was one of us.

1 April Yuki's diary

I overheard some of the teachers talking, apparently the hackers are from an organization called F.O.S which means "freedom of study" it's a group who's against forced studying, I can sympathize with them but they shouldn't use drastic measures like these.

3 April Ayaka's diary

Government IT specialists came over to fix the computers, but they couldn't get any fixing done, I have no idea how it all works but apparently the school's network is under attack by a team of hackers, a guerilla war on the internet.

4 April Yuki's diary

Rumors are circulating, even in class, they're saying they will disconnect the school computers from the internet, this will make it impossible for hackers to do anything from the outside, but it will also mean we cannot download our lectures from the internet like we do every day, the whole school is in uproar, if this continues it might inspire other groups to try and assault the educational system, oh, and thanks to the idiots spreading the rumors we all had to run laps with handcuffs and ballgags, thanks a lot idiots!.

7 April Ayaka's diary

Hacking continued, they suspect there's an F.O.S member in the school, everyone, even the teachers and other personnel, where made to wear a special collar, it was originally intended to be used on violent students as it measures heartbeats and other things to determine if the wearer is aggressive, and if he or she is, the collar will choke them lightly, their theory is that the hacker will be aggressive when he or she attempts to hack the computers.

9 April Yuki's diary

They got the hackers, it where some people working in the cafeteria, the janitor and one of the teachers, everything is back to normal, but in front of the journalists they stated that their actions would "spark a revolution against the tyrannical educational system" I admit It'd be nice if they took away the carte blanche on punishments.

12 April Ayaka's diary

Lessons returned to normal, I almost missed them to be honest, but then I got gagged for talking in class.

15 April Yuki's diary

I thought the hacking incident would be forgotten soon, but apparently it has inspired people to come out and openly protest against the educational system, I'm not so sure if that's a good idea, the teachers seem very eager to punish students nowadays.

16 April Ayaka's diary

Today I got tied and tickled for looking at the teacher strangely, seriously, I know they're a bit on edge and stuff, but this is unreal!

17 April Yuki's diary

New rumors on campus, the teachers are on edge because they could be accused of abuse if the government decides to change the educational system again, the chance they would get an actual sentence is low, but still, some people would try it, oh, thanks to spreading rumors, again ballgags handcuffs and running laps.

20 April Ayaka's diary

Government officials came to school today, apparently to keep an eye on the teachers who were going overboard with their punishments lately, I'm a bit happy they are here, they keep the teachers from punishing us for every little thing, but they also are an extra pair of eyes in class.

22 April Yuki's diary

Things got very complicated now, one of the trouble student (yes there are trouble students who are not named Ayaka) attacked one of the government officials, the incident went public and fed arguments that the current educational system was positive in the fact that it was easier to find and control dangerous individuals.

23 April Ayaka's diary

Exams are coming up again, time to study I guess, at least I'm not studying in a strap-chair now, those things are horrible, if they do not register your eye movement for a while they start tickling you.

24 April Yuki's diary

Busy studying, not much happened, but I'm writing now to mention the newest developments outside, the educational system will be screened and then experts will determine if there are other ways of making sure people study without having to force them and if the current punishment system is necessary or not

26 April Ayaka's diary

Exam day, I'm quite sure I blew it, well, I hope I get better scores on the final exams

26 April Yuki's diary

I think I did well, if I keep this up I'll be able to graduate, I sure hope so

...The middle-aged female teacher finished reading and silence descended upon the twilight teacher's office (the reading lasted for a while so noone noticed that evening started ). For a short time.

"So, what do we have here?", the teacher addressed the girls who were sitting on the other side of the table.

"Our diaries!", shouted both girls simultaneously, deep down knowing that the teacher has her own answer and this was a beginning of a bad, very bad situation and there was probably no way out of it. But they tried to smile with innocent smiles and hoped for the best.

"You're right! You get +100 points for a correct answer!", the teacher really enjoyed the situation and tried to joke. Both girls decided that it was better to play along, so they attempted to laugh but it was clearly visible that it was fake. "Bu-u-ut, this question may have different answers depending from the point of view and you picked the most obvious. My answer is that it's a severe violation of the 3rd amendment to the 12th paragraph of the 2nd part of the School Law which is called "Student's rights and responsibilities in school" or "Student's responsibilities and some rights" how you usually call it. (She smiled again and the girls tried to force out a smile back.). It clearly states that in order to protect the privacy of the students and school workers and ensure the normal unhindered run of the learning process all actions regarding collection and documentation of information are forbidden unless a permission is received from the school administration". During her speech she intentionally underlined "permission is received" and gave the girls a stern look which made them shiver.

"But, wait, there is more. What makes matters worse for you is that you committed this violation in a group because it is clear that each of you knew all the time about all illegal actions of the other side. Group violations count as severe and I'm afraid I won't be able to close my eyes on that", she shook her head. "You need a punishment that matches your deed and I hope you understand that."

"Come on, it's just a diary!", a sudden Ayaka's outburst blew up the atmosphere in the classroom stunning the teacher that seemed to be unprepared for that. "We didn't do any forbidden collection of information, we just tried to keep the memories about our youth to remember them after some decades", she ignored Yuki's attempts to calm her down. "If you are smart then you should understand what is a diary about!"

"Silence, you... you...! That's not the way to talk to your teacher like that. Of course, such uneducated and impolite student like you keeps forgetting about it again and again", the face of the teacher turned red from anger so she jumped up from the table and rushed to the window trying to hide her expression until she calms down. Teachers should always remain calm and composed, you know.

Ayaka burned with hatred towards the woman that unfortunately was her teacher. She quickly remembered all the conflicts and confrontations that happened between them in the last year and before and discovered that she would really like to rush towards her, jump from the back, throw her to the floor and then kick, kick, kick...
Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately) she couldn't do that because her wrists and ankles were secured to the chair by tight and strong cuffs from that modern black nano-material that looked like patent leather as well as her head was secured to it with a collar forcing her to seat on her place and look straight forward. She made a couple of strong tugs and let out a frustrated growl.

"Ayaka, please", Yuki, who was sitting in the same position to the right, tried to calm her down with a whispering voice while the teacher was looking at the window and reading a long monologue about politeness and modern generation and not paying attention. "We passed some exams and have some more left. We will pass them too and be free - think about it. And now let's receive our punishment and accept it. Some more time - and we will laugh in the face of this nasty woman every time we meet her in the street."

Ayaka felt how the feeling of anger was quickly abandoning her and being replaced by contempt for this pathetic school worker who, as she could remember, was nothing only a couple of years ago and who struggled to establish her authority and maintain discipline in class but quickly found her place in the new system and now tried to take full advantage of her new opportunities. Ayaka also felt a sense of moral superiority inside her. She will certainly survive this punishment, she will certainly survive the exams, she will certainly meet her former teacher in the street... "And I will throw a tomato right in her face", she whispered to Yuki, chuckling quietly.

"So, girls", the teacher finished her speech and now looked calm and even a light smile appeared on her face again. "I think you had enough for today, you've been sitting in these chairs since lunchtime. Your punishment will include wearing the collars that you now have on your necks - they will remind you about the need to respect people who are older than you every time you forget about it. How? I'm sure, you don't want to find out."

Both girls sighed from relief.

"Wait, this is just the first part. We still need to prevent you from further unauthorised collection of information, so...". The teacher pushed the button on a control panel built into one of the drawers and two flexible robotic tentacles appeared at the left and right side of each chair. Each of them connected to a wrist cuff and after that the cuffs were detached from the chair. The tentacles pulled the hands of the girls up over their heads and after another push of the button four more tentacles appeared from the ceiling with a jar connected to each one. Ayaka and Yuki couldn't look up because of the collars but they felt how their hands went into the jars up to the wrists and they could sense buzzing and vibration coming from them. They also felt something soft and warm inside and this something started to encase their hands forcibly bending their palms and fingers. The girls were frightened by this but only a little as they already got used to different and sometimes weird punishment equipment that appeared in school in the last year.

The jars finally let go and so did the tentacles that held the wrist cuffs, allowing Ayaka and Yuki to observe what happened to their hands. They were encased in black shiny material which merged itself with the cuffs the girls were wearing forming some sort of mittens. They tried to move their fingers only do discover that this was slightly possible but the space offered by the inner layer was very cramped and because of the mitten design their palms and fingers were curled in the similar way that you hold a computer mouse only even more curled but without a way to fully close a fist because of an elevation under the palm. It also looked like there was some soft and thick filling between the inner and outer mitten layers so no finger movement could be seen from the outside. All in all the new accessories had curled upper and flat lower outer surfaces, and they felt like soft leather on touch. Both girls looked at their teacher with questioning glances.

"You see, this is a very effective measure to prevent you from writing down anything for a month - an appropriate time to discourage you from any forbidden records in the future. Of course, this will bring you some difficulties as a side effect but I expect you to overcome them. You are free to go." With these words the teacher pushed a button, detaching collars of the girls from chairs and also releasing their ankles from cuffs.

The first difficulty was encountered immediately - the round doorknob of the teacher's office. It turned out that there was no way to grab anything with one hand, so Ayaka had to use both but still she had to try a couple of times because her mittens slipped. The problems continued inside school as according to safety regulations all doorknobs were round...

But finally they made it outside and stopped at the steps of the school. The evening spring wind caressed their faces and hair bringing freshness after a warm day. The future ahead of them seemed bright - the next exam will be the day after tomorrow and they were almost prepared. A written exam...

"Ayaka, how are we going to pass a written exam with these things on our hands? We could hardly open doors so there is no way we will be able to hold a pen", Yuki sounded really worried.

Ayaka looked at her now shiny and almost useless hands with a feel of horror slowly taking over her. Without possibility to write there was no way to pass this exam and of course noone would bother about making a specific examination day for both of them. She desperately tried to grab her left hand with her right in an attempt to pull off the mitten but it simply slipped off over and over again. Then she squeezed her left mitten under the right arm and pulled her left arm as strong as she could. Failing with that she sat on the steps and used the tip of her sandal to pull down the wrist cuff. Tears started to roll down her cheeks as her frantical attempts failed one after another.

"Ayaka, don't you know that you can't take off the stuff they put on you? How many times do you have to try to finally understand it?", Yuki sadly looked at her her friend's struggles, although she also made some weak attempts(but mostly as an act of solidarity). But she didn't listen to her - ignoring everything she sank her teeth into the soft surface of the hand restraints and begun to yank and chew it like a dog probably hoping to make a hole. Her teeth slid off over and over again without leaving even a single mark but she cried and tried, cried and tried...

"Oh, hello again, girls", the happy teacher was passing by after finishing her work for today. "Oh, my! I guess Ayaka got very hungry after a hard and long school day." (She ignored the teacher and continued to chew) "Yuki, please be so kind to pass her an apple from me. Tell her that I didn't have a tomato", she grinned.

"Teacher, we have a written exam soon. We won't be able to pass it because we can't write at all! What are we going to do?", Yuki was REALLY worried.

"Hm, I have no idea actually. And, frankly speaking, I have no concern. But I must remind that according to the instruction from the Ministry of Education, even one failed exam means starting the school year from the beginning. Like the Minister said -"It doesn't matter if a student passed nine exams and failed one or passed one and failed nine because there is no guarantee that a man who failed only once where he shouldn't and went on with it, won't fail somewhere else.""

"But... We know we won't fail at the exam - we are prepared. It's your damned mittens that deny us an opportunity to pass it!", Yuki jumped in tears.

"Not my problem. You should have known better when breaking the rules and now there is no way for you to avoid your punishment. As for the exam... You can try writing an appeal... oh, wait, you can't. Besides, I already know the verdict. So, I guess we will see each other in the next school year." She smiled, wished them good luck and went on.

Both girls continued to sit on the stairs listening how the clacking sound of teacher's heels was getting more and more quiet until completely ceased when she turned around the corner. Yuki was thinking what could they do while holding the apple and attempting not to drop it and Ayaka stopped chewing her mitten and was looking down at the ground with an absent look on her face.

Suddenly she jumped on her legs, raised her arms and a loud "NOOOOOOOOOOO!" (which probably would make Darth Vader from some old long-forgotten 2-D movie to be jealous) could be heard on empty streets around school.

The echo from it continued to rise to the very heights of the towers of the 45-million city leaving the shouting girl below until she no longer could be seen from this height and the school became as small as a matchbox. And then the whole city turned into a medium-size spot on the surface of the continent. And then it disappeared completely and only oceans and continents could be seen.

And then everything went black and credits started.
Well that’s it folks, part four is shorter than the other parts, but that’s because I couldn’t really find any more inspiration or idea’s, that’s also the reason I choose to end this request here, while there was still some inspiration and idea’s for it, I don’t want to make a story for which I have no inspiration or idea’s anymore, to be very honest, if it was not for chiefjudge’s notes after every part in which he gave me suggestions for the next part I probably wouldn’t have made a part four, it’s unfortunate that it ends here after only four parts while I originally had intended to cover the whole school’s year, if anyone thinks that he or she can continue this then you could contact chiefjudge and ask him for permission to use his OC’s, I enjoyed working with them (as I usually do when I have permission to use another artists OC’s) but all good things come to an end, I hope you all enjoyed reading these stories as much as I enjoyed working on them.

EDIT
chiefjudge himself wrote a litle ending in which he sealed ayaka's and yuki's school life fate(he's mean, at least i gave them a chance lol) but really, i houldn't be joking here, i let him write the ending for his own request :(

i'll be updating my request rules soon

Thank you very much for the story. It was a really entertaining reading. :)

I appreciate your efforts put into this work - it's probably not so easy to work for prolonged time with someone's else characters and ideas which may differ from your interests greatly.

But the ending looks too abrupt. Probably it needs something like this:

...The middle-aged female teacher finished reading and silence descended upon the twilight teacher's office (the reading lasted for a while so noone noticed that evening started ). For a short time.
